25th April, 2008 at the Republican library for science and technology the 11th Republican workshop for experts of patent services of the enterprises and the associations of the Republic of Belarus, devoted to World Intellectual Property Day, will be held. The theme of the workshop is «Economical aspects of intellectual property».

From 8 till 11 April RLST was participating in the 3rd international specialized exhibition "Wastes management" and was awarded the exhibition diploma for active work and the arrangement of the scientific and practical seminar on problems of use and recycling of the worn automobile tyres in the Republic of Belarus. 84 people took part in the scientific and practical seminar of RLST «Problems of recycling and secondary use of the worn automobile tyres in the Republic of Belarus».

At Gomel RLST a spring workshop for employees of scientific and technical libraries and information services of the region enterprises was held.

Product labeling and signs in its structure are the important elements of the information on the goods, necessary for their correct choice, safe and an effective use. The new book «Marking of goods in Russia and abroad. The alphabet of signs" of series «The House of quality» has arrived at the library collection. It is possible to get acquainted with the edition at the reading room of normative and technical documents (Room 504).
